The largest feria in northern Landes

The town became really famous thanks to its “Sen Bertomiu” local feria taking place each year early August. Parentis-en-Born is the only town in northern Landes to have an arena.

Early August each year, five days of celebration take place with concerts, parade floats with flowers, bandas, bullfights, recortes, course landaise and an event dedicated for children.

The city of oil tankers

One of the unique features of Parentis-en-Born is that it’s been the French capital for oil production since 1954.

Located on the shores of Parentis Lake in the Landes, Camping Calède was actually built around a farm by Irène Léglize, the grandmother of Agnès Laluque (current manager), to welcome oil company workers all year round.
